The name of Bodrum has ever been taken synonymous with fascination, summer vacation hype and nocturnal jamboree of long breezy summer nights. So fast and astoundingly it has entered into the trajectory of popular holiday resorts that it succeeded in making itself a swanky ‘brand name’ that has enormously wound itself to the attraction of the Turkish celebrities by ascending to the status of a ‘must’.

270 south of Izmir on the Aegean coast of Turkey, Bodrum is a small village with around 30.000 habitants. However since the last decade, owing to its-high ranking holiday resorts, it has profoundly capitalized from the tourism-affiliated investments. Today high-calibre resorts that are constructed in harmony with the landcape are tinged with the colour ‘white’ that reflects the essence of purity, peace and tranquility.

The heart of the town is around the harbor, where shops, bars and restaurants lined together in the narrow streets under the shadow of the St. Peter Castle The main artery is Cumhurriyet Caddesi (Republic Street), much better known as bar street. The street is excessively rich in variety of souvenirs mimicking the spirit of Mediterranean culture. Local designs and fabrics, onyx, copper and brasswares and trinkets make the chief staple of items worth buying. At night starts the spell of the nightclubs, which begins to inebriate the ‘excitement seekers’.
